User Data Collected By Indian Mobile Wallet Apps

Even as you try out mobile wallets , be aware of the data they collect from you and be sure you really wish to part with it. Don’t just automatically accept permission requests while installing apps without reading them. Safety and privacy are at stake.

1. Read your Web bookmarks and history
The Paytm app on Android requests access to “read your Web bookmarks and history”.

2. Read sensitive log data

Every app logs device and app specific information every time it executes a command, completes an updates, or when a user logs-in with his/her User ID. In some cases, the app can gain access to sensitive data like MAC ID, IMEI no, saved WiFi networks info, and other apps installed on the device. Sometimes a user authenticates with an app using his/her Gmail or Facebook account, and the app can read info of these accounts from the log. Read more of this post

Here’s how I’d recommend you go about putting in place the system to ensure that you get the best medical care of your choice. So that you are not constrained for lack of money or forced by insurers to pursue treatments that insurers rather than you would prefer.

First take an inventory of your own body, medical history, personal habits, lifestyle and environment to check if you are predisposing yourself to certain diseases. Then take an inventory of the diseases that other members of your family are having to live with or that they have finally succumbed to. Buying Life Insurance – A Balancing Act

wealthymatters The conventional financial wisdom is that people best serve themselves by purchasing an online term insurance plan and investing the rest of the premium in diversified equity mutual funds. I have a slightly different take on the matter. Let me explain. Many readers have remarked on the difference between my stand and that of other experts.

If you are young, just started working, have little savings, come from a family with little savings, are the sole or main bread-winner of the family and have many dependents, an inexpensive term insurance plan is your best bet. Even as you work towards building wealth, you don’t put your loved ones at the risk of destitution, should something happen to you.

Also if you are older but have to provide for home and children and perhaps have mortgage and car loans etc. outstanding, you’d do well to increase insurance cover via a term plan for the duration of these loans to ensure that in your absence unpaid loans don’t add to your family’s miseries.
