Yes,we must have imagination. We have to be farsighted. We must have dreams,if we would be like them.But before we get to their level we need to think small.Don’t scorn the small beginnings.Too many people go nowhere because they refuse to get involved in small time businesses. And once in business don’t be in a hurry to act like Big Business.

Yes in business we have to be willing to risk money.But if we don’t have infinite resources,its best not to pretend we do.Spend only when the expenditure is justified, and the risk is carefully calculated and you can see it’s worth it. Read more of this post

Making A Mark


wealthymattersA few days back I was surprised to find one of my posts cited on Wikipedia.

Tonight I was even more surprised to find myself listed 17 on a list of the Top 30 Personal Finance Blogs in India.You can see the list here:Link.

Apparently the list has been out for 2 days.Pity I didn’t find it yesterday.It would have been a great way to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of Wealthymatters.

It feels great to find my blog mentioned in the same list as many blogs I used to and still admire from far.

The Best Time To Travel


wealthymattersNot all travel is urgent.Sometimes its possible to be flexible with dates.

If you can arrange to travel in the lean season,you can travel like a king and pay a fraction of the cost.Plane tickets are cheaper and you can haggle to lower room rates and tourist taxi fares.

February to June is the lean season for the travel industry in India.So why not give travel a shot then?Especially before the school vacations start ?Some parts of North and Central India will still be a bit cold but the worst of the cold would have passed.And the weather in the rest of the country will be pleasant.
