Apology Accepted

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know I had a run-in with ICICI-Lombard’s SEO team last November.Link.
On my return to Mumbai, following is a mail I found in my inbox. It does make me feel a bit better about the matter for it shows that where an individual errs, the organization has a system in place to try to right issues. But I am not sure about removing an archived post.Right from the beginning,I have faithfully kept intact all posts, comments and replies without any whitewashing and I am not so certain I wish to change things now.Relationships,I believe are made not by never being wrong but by saying sorry when things go wrong. And as such,I believe, this is the end of this matter.

to me
Dear Keerthika,Please accept my sincere apologies for the email communications from our organization. We do not want to cause any ill-will or anguish.
As such I would like to take a moment to explain our situation. We are currently going through a process of auditing the back-links to our site. Any link that we do not know the origin of we are trying to peacefully remove from the web. As such we have communicated to you and many others through an automated process. We are very sorry for any bad will you may of taken from the initial communications.
I accept that we may not have handled this with the decorum you would expect from a company such as ours, but rest assured that it is not in our interests to cause issue with webmasters such as yourself. We are simply trying to adhere to the rules that Google has laid down for brands and webmasters.
If you have linked to us through natural causes then we do not have any issue with your link. My only request though, is that you do not show us in such bad light on your site and kindly remove your open letter. I appreciate that this is your choice and that you have freedom to say what you will, I am only trying to safeguard the reputation of my company.
Our brand is one that we want built on trust and relationships, I hope you see good faith in this apology and kindly remove your post.
Should you wish to discuss the matter please do not hesitate to call me *(022 3983 9019)*.
Again my sincere apologies.
Yours Sincerely,
Webmaster
