Value Your Time

“The #1 guideline to success is you must be in business for yourself. When you work for someone else, you sell your time at wholesale to your employer, who then re-sells it at retail to the customer.” – J Paul Getty
Time is a resource that is finite. Money can be replaced, time cannot.
The one thing I have noticed is that every person wealthier than me values time more than me.I don’t mean that they necessarily do more in the same time. They will just never put time before money. Its really small things like cabbing it rather than wait for the bus/car pool, hire others rather than DIY,spend more to get work started on a project rather than bargain for discounts,
And in their company I find myself becoming more like them.Today I get furious when I find someone being wasteful of my time.
I have also started thinking of time in terms of my probable lifespan and I find it puts a very different perspective on things.
I see time (money too) as a form of energy. But time is the one form of “energy” that is easily wasted but never replaceable.
I don’t yet have any clear visualization of time .Money is obviously more than directly proportional to time but what function I am unable to articulate,And these functions create the various layers of wealth.
