Since 2000, over 61,000 high net worth individuals – all dollar millionaires – have relocated outside India. The millionaires who left India vastly outnumber the number of people declaring incomes above Rs 1 crore annually – just about 43,000.

Very interesting indeed. But what is most interesting is how many dollar millionaires continue living in India without declaring their income and consequently not paying tax!
Mmmm that’s what leads me to say we need a total rethink on all matters taxation. But I doubt my deeply unfashionable views are going to have any takers.
