i do not find the name of Priyamvada Birla. I read a lot of news about court action against her power of attorney holder and chartered accountant Mr. Lodha who produced false documents in the court stating that he was the benefiiary of Mrs. priyamvada Birla’s estates.
Priyamvada Birla was the widow of M.P. Birla,who was the nephew of G.D. Birla and cousin of K.K. Birla, B.K. Birla and G.P. Birla.
Priyamvada and M.P. Birla had no children of their own.
On the rest of your statement/question,I remain silent.The case is perhaps a lot more complicated than a simple forgery.The SC is looking into it and I have no personal inside information to have an independent opinion either way.
The M.P.Birla group’s prized assets include Birla Corporation, the family’s first business concern set up on the banks of river Bhagirathi by G.D. Birla in 1920. The Group also runs M.P. Birla Planetarium, Belle Vue Clinic, South Point School and M.P. Birla Foundation higher secondary schools in Kolkata, and prestigious medical institutions like Bombay Hospital, Birla Vikas Hospitals in Satna, Sidhi and Indore.More importantly the group also has a 25 per cent stake in Pilani Investments, one of the Birlas’ key companies. That the Lodhas, the outsiders, hold such a major stake in Pilani Investments is a major irritant to the Birlas. Hence the united fight put up by the extended Birla Family.
From scattered reports in the press,we can gather that the case has yo-yo’ed back and forth since 2004.Perhaps we will know more once the final judgement us out.
