I was very glad to hear these words today.The Buffett-Gates fortune is huge and I worry about how it will influence Public Policy in India.We have been too uncritical of Western ideas in the past ,adopted them with over-enthusiasm and have lived to regret it.Eg.Population Control,Green Revolution etc.I am glad that Buffett is aware of the implications of bad philanthropy.

Leave of Absence

I have just been diagnosed with a medical problem which requires hospitalization and surgery.The further treatment will take up to two years after surgery.

At this point I wish to focus all my energies on fighting for my health and life.

As the Bhagwad Gita says:If wealth is lost nothing is lost,if health is lost something is lost and if character is lost everything is lost.I have now decided to make health my first priority.I will put wealth building on hold for a while.

I’m sorry I can’t keep my promise to post at least once a day.In future I will post as I’m able and when I’m in an OK frame of mind to think .Today morning’s post took me over 3 days to put up.I’m really distracted and can’t focus my mind enough to put up a quality article.
